I think there is more than one refence to the fact that Inishowen (and in particular, Dunaff Head) may have been "invaded" by the Vikings. I've read that there was a fort excavated on Dunaff Head in the 1940's (as far as I can remember)with Viking remains. I'll try and find out a bit more detail on this. | |||
