CLONMANY FESTIVAL 2006
|
|
On the 6th of August as the festival parade winds its colourful way down the pituresque village of Clonmany for the 39th time - signals the beginning of Ireland's longest running and Best Known Family Festival. Once more the pituresque village of Clonmany nestling in the valley formed by the Urris Hills becomes the centre of attraction of thousands of discerning holiday makers and local alike as its annual road show launches fourth in the early days of August. Yes indeed Clonmany has everything to offer to the visitor from its natural beauty, its warm friendly people, excellent facilities and old world charm combined with the best of the the 21st century innovations. This is one of the longest running and well reknowned events of its kind in the country, and the hard working commitee will ensure that yet again a bumper backed program of entertainment and events will take place to make this a truly memorable occasion. Munich may have its Beer Festival, Rio de Janeiro its Mardi Gras, Tralee its Rose, Dunloe its Mary - but Clonmany ranks up there alongside these prestiges names in street carnivals with its own unique blend of family entertainment and razzmatazz. We hope that everybody that comes to the Clonmany Festival will have a great time and a safe and pleasent stay. Finally a word of thanks to our sponsors without whose generous support this event would not be possible.
