My great great grandparents Bryan Quigley and Margaret Ryan emigrated from Ireland to Ontario,Canada abt 1831 with their daughter Julia (Judith). We know nothing about their Irish roots including their home county or parish, or whether they came to Canada by themselves.

But I just found a possible connection with Clonmany. The 1828 Tithe Applotment Book for the Parish of Clonmany shows a Bryan Quigley together with Owen McLaughlin and Michael McLaughlin had land at Magherard Ballyliffin Clonmany. And Bryan was also part of the group with Owen Quigley, Owen Quigley Jnr., Widow Quigley, Daniel McGavigan, John Quigley, Hugh Quigley, Patrick Quigley with more land at Ballyliffin Clonmany. My Bryan named my grandfather Hugh, and Hugh and a Patrick Quigley both moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota to start their own family lines from which my Saskatchewan line was formed.
If anyone has information or knows how I can attempt to verify through local records that this Bryan Quigley of Clonmany is the same Bryan Quigley who founded my North American line, I would be most grateful to hear from you.

Garnet Quigley, Saskatoon, Canada.
