The Clonmany Coastline

The Clonmany Coastline contains folktales, songs, stories of shipwrecks and other losses, as well as a section on the food of the sea and how to cook it. The book was commissioned by the Clonmany Town Renewal Committee with funding from the Inishowen Development Partnership and the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources.

Prominent in the book is a series of interviews with local fishermen and these are offered to the people of Clonmany as a reminder of a dying way of life.

The book was designed, compiled and written by Rosemarie Doherty, archaeologist, historian and native of the area.
