Raths or Forts
There is a cave at Cleagh. One day a crowd of men were working in that field. When they went to take their tea they sat down on a flat flag. After a while they found themselves going down under the ground. They lifted up the stone and under it there was a hole plastered around with clay and moss. There is s Fort up above Straid called the Hill Field. I was there. The soldiers were drilled in the years 1918, 1919, 1920 and 1921. I got this from James Bradley, Cleagh, Clonmany. The field in which this cave is belongs to James. 14/6/38 |
