Placenames Kinnea was once part of a quarterland known as Rosmagh pre ordinance survey. It is a narrow townland 1300' above sea level. Half of the land is arable and the remainder is rough mountain or sand hill grazing. It consists of three villages or parts; Crocknagee, Rockstown and Kindrohid. Kenagh / Cin feadha - head/hill of the wood Rockstown - Rocky Town
