Placenames Rasheeny is a square shaped townland with the north edge protruding onto Trawbega Bay. Half of the land is arable and the rest is rough mountain grazing. It consists of four villages or parts; Bunacrick; Gibland; (Keadewnagor?) and Rasheeny. Rashunny / Rath Seanaigh - Foxes Fort (note Rath is used here for Srath)
