Straths

Straths was once part of a quarterland known as Ballymagehan pre ordinance survey. It is a small wedge shaped townland with the north sude projecting onto Trawbreaga Bay. One third of the land is arable and the remainder is rough mountain or hill grazing. It consists of three villages or parts; Straths; Magheralahan (Machaire Leathan) and Craigawillin.
