In today's Gospel Jesus tells us to love one another as He has loved us. Christians should be recognised by their love for one another. Love shown in the members of the Church enables the community to be seen as disciples of Christ. Many of the causes of pain and suffering on earth come from an absence of love. Mutual love within the community overflows to the whole world. Christian charity helps to ease the burden of suffering and eliminates many of its causes. Lord, give me courage to be true to you in all I say and do. Give me your love to keep me sweet to everyone I chance to meet. Give me your power to keep me strong. Give me the Faith that all may see how real you are to me.

The Relics of St. Thérèse will be brought to every Cathedral and Carmelite Monastery throughout the country. The aim of the visit is to "help individuals and groups to grasp the life and teaching of the Saint, and to consider and renew their own journey and faith to God".

Thérèse is very much a Saint for the Third Millennium. Pope John Paul II said in Lisieux, 1980 - "Saints never grow old. They never become figures of the past, men and women of yesterday. On the contrary, they are always men and women of the future, witnesses of the world to come".Thérèse's way to God is the Gospel way. One Jesuit described it as "the same journey to the same city, but a new map to travel by". We ask all to pray that we may come closer to God at this time of Grace in our Diocese. "

St. Thérèse draw us along your little way of confidence and love and lead us to God, Our Father. Amen". "I feel above all that my mission is about to begin; my mission of making souls love the good God as I love Him, to give my little way to souls. If my desires receive fulfilment, I shall spend my heaven on earth even until the end of time. Yes. I will spend my heaven doing good upon earth". (St. Thérèse)
