Clonmany Weekly Bulletin
Sunday 13th January 2002
St. Mary's Church, Clonmany.
St. Michael's Church, Urris.
Fr. Jack Farrell, P.P., Tel. 76264.
Fr. Peter Devlin, C.C., Tel. 76114.
Today's feast is a powerful reminder of the vocation to which we are all called. It recalls our own baptism in consecrated waters which cleansed our souls from the state of sin and was the beginning of our relationship with God. The seeds of the Christian life are sown in baptism which means we belong to God's family, are able to call God, 'Father and Jesus Christ 'our brother'.
Like Christ we have been chosen for a mission in the world of our time. Father, I thank you for making me your child at my baptism. Grant that I may always appreciate this fact and that I may, by my living out the message of your Son, show that I love you and am a child of God.
