June 8 will be offered for Eddie Harkin, The Square, Clonmany, on the first anniversary of his death. May he rest in peace. Corpus Christi Procession will take place in Clonmany today, Sunday at 3pm. In its devotion the Church has handed down as a distinctive feature of the celebration of this solemnity a procession in which the Blessed Eucharist is carried solemnly and with singing through the street. By this the Christian people give public witness to their belief in the Sacrament of the Eucharist and to their devotion. It is therefore desirable to continue this procession when it can truly be a sign of common faith and adoration. All the little girls who made their First Holy Communion recently are invited to walk and strew flowers in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Pope's Intentions for June: That the leaders and members of different religions may co-operate in a search for world peace that is based on conversion of hearts and friendly dialogue. That lay Christians, in virtue of their Baptism, may try with all their strength to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world in their own environment. 40 Hours Adoration will take place in St. Mary's Church next Sunday. To mark this wonderful occasion the Rosary and prayers will be recited in honour of the newly canonised saint in the Gap at 8pm. on Sun. June 16. We would like everyone to come along. Devote yourself to Prayer - If you have not yet developed a close relationship with Jesus, now is the time to do so, especially when you are hurting.
