As Lady Captain I welcome the opportunity to address you on the occasion of the publication of the history of the 50 years of Ballyliffin Golf Club. It is a great honour for me to be in office during this, our Golden Jubilee year, and I am deeply grateful to the Lady Members for their vote of confidence.

Founded in 1947, Ballyliffin Golf Club is now one of the premier golf locations in Ireland and can boast two of the finest links courses in the country. Ballyliffin is characterised by its welcoming spirit and I would like to thank our many visitors from Ireland and abroad for their support over the years and we hope that they will continue to sing the praises of the club.

The Ladies Branch has gone from strength to strength, thanks to the dedication of past officers and committees. I invite you to join with me in congratulating all past officers and committee members, both male and female for their vision and commitment to the club. Together they have made it the place it is today.
