Underage Players Under age is where it all begins. You must get in there
at National School level and get the coaching going. This is where
a lot of the past players can get involved. Most of the past players
don't want to get involved after they have stopped playing themselves.
I have been in charge of underage teams for a number of years and
it is always a pleasure looking after them. One of the biggest problems
is getting the parents out to show their support. The children always
like to see their parents coming out and calling them on. It would
be nice to see more people getting involved in the coaching of our
young players. With so many other attractions in our world today,
it is encouraging to have more youth involved in sport. |
