The view of Pollan Strand and Malin Head adds to your pleasure in the dining room. The menu offers a wide range of superbly cooked dishes where only the best of fresh Irish produce is used; an imaginative wine list complements the excellent fare.

Ballyliffin is a delightful little resort with a fine long sandy beach at Pollan. At the nearby 36 hole golf course is a mount, which houses an ancient midden and the western slopes of Crockaughrim boast some rock art, which dates back to the Bronze Age. More accessible is the ruined Carrickbrackey Castle. It was a McFaul castle at one time but it is with the O'Dohertys who were deprived of it at the time of the Ulster Plantation in 1610.

The Inishowen Peninsula, wherein Ballyliffin is situated, stretches between Lough Foyle and Lough Swilly, to reach Ireland's most northerly point at Malin Head. The drive round the peninsula is spectacular with fine views of mountains and sea. The numerous lakes and rivers provide good game and coarse fishing. All in all an ideal hotel in an ideal setting where you are made very welcome.

The comfortable lounge bar is full of atmosphere and attracts locals and visitors alike, particularly when it plays host to our Irish night entertainment. Old time and modem dancing are also regularly featured.
